We said farewell to Pat and Les and started off on our solo adventures.
Drove to Hogs Head in Awsworth, around the corner from oaktree Motorhomes for the night in the pub carpark so we will be at the dealership first thing for couple of repairs to Bessie before we head off to our friends Ian and Heather in Paignton, Devon.
Plenty of room and nice and quiet. Huge menu, big meals at reasonable prices, I had turkey salad with enough meat and salad for two meals, Tony had gammon steak which was delicious £6.95 each we shared a treacle pudding £3.50. Pint beer £3.15 each.
Got talking to a lovely couple from Coventry who are caravaners, who motorhomed around America and going to Australia in January to motorhome for 6 weeks. We were talking so much a queue built up and we're asked very politely to move to the lounge bar and were given a free drink.
Great start to the Grape Escape.
