The Tourist Information Center were very helpful and friendly gave us a site to stay free by the river La Charente and arranged a distillation tour at 2pm at Pineau des Charentes. Natalie tried hard with her English but had good notes typed in English so between us we got thru.
After the tour we drove back into Cognac to find this excellent site for the night then walked into the old town and had a sampling at the Château de Cognac . Very mild afternoon to enjoy the late winter sun along Rue de Jaques. Visiting the city walls and outskirts of old Hennessy distillary.
