Back from walk and the sun was pouring in through the window, quite lovely.
Checked Bessie nice and warm inside with icicles on the wheel rims outside.
Clear blue sky 10am -3°.
Roger came down to check on Bessie and battery etc very helpful, checked the outside fridge vent, fuses etc but couldn't find anything obvious why fridge not going. Yes haven't mentioned the fridge not working since we've been here.....Bugger.....again.
Decided it was a good day to re visit the Château Castlenaud, €9.50 each and worth every cent. A medieval village surrounding castle towers, a rabbit warren of rooms, with doors opening up into a museum like display of weapons, crossbows, sling shots and suits of armor, with historical videos of reenactments of what was, over many centuries. Sureal, very impressive.
Outside an amazing display of rock slinging trebuchet, projectile launchers. Our most surprising achievement and revelation was that I actually climbed up a steep, narrow, spiral stone staircase to the top of a tower which revealed the most magnificent view, encompassing Beynac and Les Roque Gageac.
Quick shop on way back, Tony impressed by a middle-aged woman offering him her place in a very busy queue as he only had a few items, he was heard to mutter, merci madamouseelle.............
The dogs had been waiting patiently for us and were rewarded with a long sunny walk, Martine and Milo the whippet were far off in the distance, once the dogs got his scent they were off like the projectile launchers.
A good day finished off with yet another tasty meal by the skipper, who is now driving and finding his way around like and round local.
Vive La France
