Wet again and fresh, seemed to criss cross the Rhone on the way out and North to Valence and Tournon sur Rhone.
Drove through ancient villages with old medieval walls and ruins on hills. Whoops knob check failed to notice glass of water still on shelf, wet settee, my bad.
Followed the road along the Rhone, but couldn't see much of it just the odd glimpse now and then, hugely impressive when you do see it, usually crossing one of the many bridges across.
A wet, grey day but good roads for our drive with more tree lined roads which would be stunning in spring.
Misbehaviour from sat nav took us to a 3m bridge....we are 3.1 ! So had to turn around and detour.
Aire at Tournon car park, shared with some massive trucks and 2 other motorhomes, all good as close to town and Boulangerie at end of car park.
Took a cold brisk walk around the town and a walk along the river, the hillside terraced vineyard of Paul Chapoutier looming large across the river.
Had a good long chat with Jenna she will book Sunday lunch on 18th at pub stopover in Orpington, before we head to Nottingham for Bessie's check up.
