A stunning day for walking round the battle field with its Cairn memorial and flags showing key battle spots.
Then not much further on to the Clava Ring of Cairns.
We continue our drive south through Drummossie Muir then past Aviemore and East to climb up into the Cairngorm mountains to our stop for tonight at the Mountain Railway car park where Pat and Les stayed last night.
As we arrived the car park was very full, but there was one space conveniently next to Ruby, perfect. Pat and Les were up the mountain on the Funicular railway, but the last one for the day left, so we missed it. £12 for a day pass, and they start again at 10am. So see how the weather is if we go up or not tomorrow.
Once the car park thinned and the cars took their walkers and hikers away, Les wanted to move Ruby to be nearer the building as the wifi intermittent here and stronger further over.
Tony went for a walk and I finished the blog, then went in to them for a catch up, decided to go to a camp tomorrow to empty cassette, have showers etc. Found one site walking distance to a Whisky Distillery...........how convienient......tomorrow night sorted.
Fish and chips for dinner with veges and a cleansing wee ale, watching the sun go down behind the mountains and with it the temperature.
