Tony went to the edge and saw them being fed.........breakfast anyone?
After a leisurely morning we drove to Killiecranky National Trust site, just before out stop for tonight at Pitlochry.
Down the mountain and back through the forest, then onto major road widening improvements with a dual carriageway, good road surface A9 through Glen Truim and Glen Garry beside the Grampian Mountains, sky getting very dark overhead. Bessie just clicked over 13,000 Miles!
Killiecranky National. Trust and Nature park, good information and more on local battles between the King's who also fought here.
After lunch drove on to campsite at Pitlochry £21. We walked 10 mins to the Blair Atholl distillery but no 3pm tour, next one at 4pm so Tony and I walked 15 mins into the old village and back in time for our tour. £7.50 for 45 mins tour and a wee dram of the 12 year old single malt......very interesting tour with a young lady from Switzerland with a fun sense of humour the tasting was exquisite, but at £47 a bottle we declined to buy a full bottle, we went for a 1/3 bottle with 2 souvenir glasses.
Back to camp had lovely hot showers, the skipper cooked lamb steaks we bought at the farm shop near Melton Mowbray with veges and gravy yum. Pat came over for a chat and a wee dram, christened our new glasses.
