Lovely sunny morning still with very cold wind, spoke to a Dutch couple who said it was a 20min walk or can drive in, lots of parking. It was market day today. They told us how unlucky they had been with the weather on their trip, weeks of rain non stop.
Tony's knee still not 100% so we decided to drive in and walk the Witches Alleyways, but no parking due to it being full with market goers. Saw diesel at €1.02 at supermarket but it was self serve and wouldn't take our card.
Came back to park, decided to support the local economy and went to the restaurant for menu del dia €12 soup, Chicken and dried fruits for Tony, meat balls and vege ragout for me, bottle of wine each, white for Tony and Red for me, desert and coffee....very good value and they told us to take remaining wine in the bottles with us.
Met 2 new Dutch people in campervan parked next to us, had good chat then walked in to the old town. Through the remains of the market, bought some kiwi fruit and oranges, through the old narrow streets to the old city walls.
We found the tunnel alleyways of the Witches walk to the bottom of the town, by a police station wrapped in yellow for Catalonia independence, panoramic view from the old wall down into the green pastures of the valley below.
We walked back past primary school children going in for afternoon lessons, caused an interesting discussion between a young policeman and an English teacher helping to direct us back to camp, very friendly and helpful.
Tony knew he had a knee after our 2 hour plus walk, will have to get it looked at when we are at Jenna's.
Lite tea tonight, several more motorhomes arrived late and went into the overflow carpark, very popular place again from search for sites.
