Drove on today and passed a wind farm, then between grapevines on both sides for miles, looks like a mixture of old and new.
The little fluffy white clouds, thickened to a white blanket, gradually darkening to rain grey. Patchwork repairs on the road made for more bumpy going today.
On arrival in Pamplona it was very wet know mthe ground so they had obviously had a lot rain recently but sunny now. Again we got taken around and round....re routing every minute or so....she just does not like cities.
Eventually arrived at Aire, lots of moho's parked next door in firebrigade car park, we tried but were too big. So into the Aire, the barrier lifted and good concrete pitches, all with Ehu, full services for €10. Spoke to a Brit who told us how to get a ticket, again the machine wouldn't take out card, wouldn't take notes only coins. Luckily had enough and got ticket for 24hrs, max 48 but snow forecast so decided to stay just the one day.
After lunch we walked into town, walked down the street where they have the running of the bulls, statue of Ernest Hemingway outside the old disused bullring g, Bull fighting was banned by the Catalonia government. Left to decay unlike in Barcelona where they kept the history facade and refurbished behind it into multi storey shopping complex complete with external glass elevator.
It was very quiet with onky a few families out for Sunday menu del dia but otherwise people having their siesta. We had coffee and cake with a brandy €9. The sun was warm out of the biting wind.
Chicken, chilli stir fry yumm.
