Thurs 1st March 10° Calp - Xeraco

A new month and the last of our European adventure as we continue northwards to the ferry.

Haircut, beard trim and showers before heading off. Very busy with queue for the services and to pay.

Calp has lots of campsites and lots of new apartments and hotels being built, not a small place at all, a very quietly kept place to visit.

Oh dear.....once again we find ourselves on the scenic mountain route, obviously a prime choice for cyclists out in their vivid licra in clusters up and down and round the hilly roads.

Several wild beach camps and our choice at Denia had evidently had a lot of rain, so the large area for parking was covered in puddles, we stopped for lunch, but even though there were 4 other moho's there we decided to continue on a bit too boggy for us.

Misty haze and low clouds winding through the mountains as we enter the province of Valencia. Past huge orange orchards, left and right.

Found our free camp at Xeraco gardens and beach, several motorhomes around the central Park,  with the beach at the side and end of road.

Went for a walk, long sandy beach, the sun came out and burnt away the haze and it got up to 18°. Found a tiny bar and shop, bought an English newspaper €2.40 and coffee's.

Tony went to put the chairs out but got the finger shake and a tut tut no no from another  couple,  so took a quick photo before he put the chairs away. They were sitting on the park benche near us so had to wait till they left before Tony could sit out and read the paper.

I caught up on the blog....big job....but someone has to do it  haha.

Pizza and Tony's tomatoes and cucumber salad for dinner.
