We got the bus into the city, found the Tourist Information Center got tickets for the Hop on hop off bus £34 there are 2 routes included, we started with the blue route down to the waterfront....unfortunately it was a very old bus, the sound quality of the commentary was very bad and it was not as informative as many others we have been on. Very dissapointing. We passed the 32nd Americas Cup base and the Alingi building, would have been great when it was in all the action of the event.
Changed to the red route, one stop closed off for a fireworks display at the Town Hall for fire awareness. Very loud bangs with large crowd watching.
We had a menu del dia €10.50, 3 courses, beer and coffee. Tony had potato salad, I had mushroom soup, followed by delicious steak with roquefort sauce and salad, Tony had two chicken wings andchips. A tired dry chocolate mouse not a patch on the one we had for our anniversary and I had lemon cheesecake.
Walked back and got the 25 bus back to camp about half an hour €1.50 each way.
Overall not our favourite city but have been to so many amazing places we are very lucky.
