Quite a walk along busy main road to the bus stop, €2.20 each into the city, took about half an hour, speeding down the bus lane....they don't mess about here.
What a full on, fantastic day, unfortunately by the time we got to the Sagrada Familia, it was 3pm and so busy wouldn't have been able to do it justice so will go back tomorrow.
Lots of Gaudi here up in the Parc Guell, but what a hike up hill to get to it, everything is always up on hills. But so worth the climb.
Tony climbed to the stone cross on the top of the hill, but it was so very windy here he needed help to get down....not 35 anymore .
Sunny and warm, but very windy all day. Brilliant city, we loved it.
Good tour of the city over 2 routes probably 4 hours in all for both well worth the price.
La Rambla was a big wide Street with stall selling ice cream, souvenirs and the likes, half way down we came to a food market...wow...that was amazing, all sorts of fresh foods stalls and such a variety of cooked meals and foods to tempt your tastebuds, from local Catalonia specials, Chinese, Japanese, seafood, sport for choice, we opted for a local special sort of a bread/pie mine was spinach and Tony had beef, very tasty for €3.50 each.
We could have spent a couple of hours just in here.
We felt very safe with a good Police presence around the city.
Mushroom soup for dinner.
