Last night sitting eating a tasty beef, vegetables and pasta meal cooked by the skipper listening to the birds tweeting. Heard them in UK but strangely non in France, love hearing the birds tweeting.
We left early to miss the morning work traffic, stopped out of town for breakfast, another sunny day, fresh this early but promises to be another warm sunny day.
Terrible roads surfaces, not so many villages and roundabouts as in france, long stretches of just fields. The first village we came to the sat nav said we had just entered Luxembourg but nothing on roadside to say so.
Service stations showing diesel at €1.008, very cheap, will get some before we cross the border back into France.
Luxembourg very clean, with smooth roads, modern colourful buildings, well laid out. Drove into city then out to Dudelange Aire, near train £5 into city per person.
Did few bits of washing, Tony chatted to German couple heading to France for skiing........oh no snow! This must be what it's like, 1/2 dozen motorhomes, warm sunny weather, people out meeting and talking. DutchmanYan, told us of places for tulips in fields and gave us a map of Holland to keep and said we could visit with him when we go back. English couple in motorhome in front of us, Paul and Ellice have caravan and camping site in Dartmoor , if we get there before end August when they close for winter, we can stay there. Got cold out there talking so came in Tony cooked fish and chips and vegetables and we had a wee Jameson to warm us up, lovely warm days but cool night and morning.
Nice chat with Pat and Les in Spain, they are having torrential rain and snow nearby after 80° 2 days ago.
