Sunny but fresh, Grandma duties brought forward, little 3 year old Harriet was unwell overnight so unable to go to Nursery school so she was dropped off and Mum Hayley rushed off to work.
We left early as poor little girl was sick again and only wanted her grandma, good reminder of life with young children.
Lovely day for drive to Battle to Pauline and John, very narrow roads, clipped a man delivering pamphlets walking in the road, wing mirror made a loud thump as it sprung back in. We stopped but he was fine, a driver of a Tesco van came over saying he had seen everything, but the man insisted he was fine. Gave us a bit of a shock though.
Terrible roads a patchwork of tarmac, drains and concrete patches, very bumpy.
Had a good afternoon with Pauline and John , bus into town, had a coffee in historic building next to the Abbey.
They went home and we explored Battle, including a beer in the oldest pub in Battle The King's Head. Met nice couple who caravan back and forth to their house in Spain, gave us a discount for ferry crossing should we need it.
Very nice evening, swapping holiday and travel stories lots of laughs.
