Sat 11 Mar 10° sunny

Filled water, emptied cassettes, ready for the offer,  lovely sunny day. English lady from yesterday came over with a Caravan Club magazine for me, it had an article on the Tulips, she again said definately not out till late March. Had long chat before leaving they were going back to uk, she told us how to pay and exit. Decided to do rest of trip and catch the Tulips in May on our way back.

€19 machine took card and cash, tried our euro card and it took it, so didn't try out new Barclays card thanks to Les and Pat.

Drove out and stopped for diesel  €1.20 ltr got €60 worth 50 ltrs. Continued south to Namur, south of Brussels and sat nav was working well and actually managed to avoid going anywhere near the city, whewwww.

Very good smooth roads, very cyclist friendly with pavement, cycle paths, parking bays then the road, safe for everyone. Also signs advertising service stations and specifically LPG, very good.

Grey white sky but sunny, pulled over in parking space, very spacious planted with trees between it and the road with several picnic tables along the stretch, plenty of room for several long trucks. Had lunch then onto to Namur, search for sites Co ordinates took us to a road side park next to the canal, quite busy but hope it will be quiet overnight.

Easy walk into town and the hill opposite has the old wall and citadel as our view over the  river, the Meuse and Sambre converge at Namur. Walked over bridge to Casino however on entering were turned away....it was a  hotel..humm mm probably thought we looked a bit dodgy.  Back at Bessie had a glass of wine on our very own metal lounger, watching the geese, ducks and swans floating by, a balmy 13° ....this is the life.
