Lovely crossing to the city....
Long queue for the hop on hop off bus as was expected. Very good couple of hours on there,
Then onto the green line canal boat cruise......Lots of congestion and bit of chaos as holiday boats mix it up with tour boats through all the convergence of canals.
There are 2.6 million bikes in Amsterdam with only 800,000 people, 60,000 bikes get stolen every year, 600 end up in the canals......the police just say take another one.....it's what call recycling....haha
Had lunch, then onto the blue line canal boat...on leaving skipper was so relaxed forget to ' mind your head ' didn't duck and whacked his head on the roof opening getting off...ouch
Another quiet sunny evening in camp.

River cruiser
Boat hotel
Then only original windmill left in the city.

The queue for the Heineken experience was round tge block.......we have cold beer in the fridge.....don't need to queue.
3 storey bike park...

Floating Chinese Restaurant

There are 2,500 permanent house boats. Used to be for the poor people that couldn't afford houses, but now the moorings are so expensive it's quite an exclusive area.

Waiting our turn to go under one of the 250 bridges
You can hop on and off, but no telling if or when you will get back on.....busy, busy....people everywhere thus holiday weekend.
boat selfie .....heehee
the beams sticking out from top of buildings has a hoist for when they move furniture in or out to top floors . the gables also slant forward so the furniture doesn't crash into the building.
A replica of the original ship Amsterdam that sailed off in search of the new world.
The slanting roof of the science museum has a garden and people go to relax up there and look at the view.
