Packed up and paid €35.50 for 5 days, very good value. Headed in land along the Douro river to see some of the terraced vineyards where the Port grapes are grown. However the river being so low and the roads and towns so high above, didn't actually see much as we again climbed high into the mountains.
We saw distant charred hills from the fires and then drove through where the fires had come right down to the road and you could see over where it had gone down to the river in places with blackened trees and scorched earth.
We clicked over 15,000 Miles and saw a sign for Rota do Romanico.
Went into Albicampo to see if they could replace our grey water pipe and tap, yes they could, 3 hours later, brand new black shiny pipe, red tap and new support bracket €250 of which €48 was tax. Had to be done and they did it then while we waited so all good, also got a new collapsible water carrier, our one that Pat bought us to start us off a year ago has finally given up, so did very well.
Left at 5.30, sun had set and we were driving in the dark, first time for over a year since we started in France. Not too far to our free stop but when we arrived the road into it had been blocked off and being dark we couldn't see another way in. Short distance to plan B just through town to a large wasteland car park near the canal but too dark to see anything.
Pork steak, Brussels, carrots, onions, courgettes with potato and kumera chips for dinner.
