Really liking these sunny mornings even if they are cold outside but a green outlook as the world started to wake up. Leisurely batteries both at 13.4 as is car battery so all good.
Over the cobbled roadway and out of town, would you believe, climbing again.....how high can we go....haha round and round we wind up and up and this is the 'easy' route...then onto the National road, good surface south towards Braga.
Still we are winding our way up and more grapevines glowing in their autumn colours in the sunshine and clear blue sky. Then we reach the top and can see over the hills and valley with the clouds gathering along just below the tops of the distant peaks.
As we came down and into a town, we saw a Motorhome Dealer, so pulled into to see if they do repairs. A very friendly, English speaking chap said he would love to help us but he has just taken in a big job, had a kiwi couple couple of months ago having mechanical problems, they stayed in his yard for 2 weeks whike he got them sorted. He gave us the names of 3 possible places near Porto that might be able to help. He was very sorry he couldn't help us.
Onwards to our site, just 5km south of Porto arrived just after 1pm, now 17°, it is €7.10 per night, all services, short walk to beach, No. 15 bus stop just in the road into Porto, has on site restaurant as well. Very basic but hey for that price we booked 4 nights, plenty of room, so could stay longer no problems.
No washing machine just a row of ancient concrete scrubbing tubs and cold water, but when in Rome...or Portugal....we did our Wasing and with this lovely warm weather during the days it will drip dry no trouble.
We sat in the afternoon sun, then we checked out the onside restaurant , no Tapas meals look reasonable prices, got the wifi code, then walked down a short hill to the beach, quite a rough surf over the rocks, checked out a couple more restaurants but now the sun was settings and it was cold.....so quick walk back up the hill.
Chorizo sausages, aubergine, red peppers, courgettes and tomatoes with brussels and carrot for dinner.
Watched a movie.
