We had a real downpour overnight. Made a cuppa, then.....nothing......no water, gas or lights....eeekkkk. Couple of Brits in car park and Tony asked the perfect person who said either battery or a fuse. Long story short, the new replacement fuse that Oaktree put on the leisure battery had jiggled out of its 'spade ' connection, probably from the juddering on the boarding ramp onto the ferry. Basically it was too small for the wire, needed to be a 10mm. Adrian said it was very warm, he re did it and we got an electrical lesson at the same time, so if it happens again we now know what to do. Have to buy a 10mm spade fitting. We asked how we could repay him, he said just be nice to the next person that needs some help...pay it forward....nice one! Decided to stay tonight and go up to the village this afternoon to buy him a 6 pack beer.
Came back and gave him the beer, we were outside talking and when we came in as it was getting cold, .....nothing....it had come out again and we hadn't moved, not even the fridge was going! Adrian came back its definately the connection too small, he fixed it again by taking the plastic cover off and was able to open the metal hole to get the wire in then with plyers squeezed it all together and taped it up. Fingers crossed it stays in now, if not will have to call the RAC breakdown.
Spag Bowl for dinner and watched a movie Sully, very good.
