Fri 1 Dec 14° Vilamoura

Gorgeous, sunny and blue clear sky again today, still with cold wind. Sat in sheltered area in sun and did some forward planning.  Emailed motorhome garage in Malaga that Pat sent us, re the water tank insulation.
Sue and Graham Welsh couple were going to walk into town over an hour, he said if he was meant to walk he wouldn't have passed his driving test...don't think he was too happy.

5pm went to cafe to watch Music DVD of Eagles with George, Brit who is full timing and here for several weeks, does odd jobs for Gérard and Anthea. First DVD finished at 7pm so agreed to go and have dinner then come back for 2nd half.

Chicken and mushrooms for dinner.

George knocked to say in the circumstances would not be watching anymore as Graham the Welsh man has just died of heart attack, they got back to the gate just as Anthea was locking up and he just dropped dead, several people passing by stopped, helped with cpr for 50 mins till ambulance could come. Graham was just 57 years old, looked fit and they had bikes on back of van so obviously active couple.  So there is just no telling, when your number is up...still in a way it was good he was able to get Sue back to camp and in an English speaking environment, so that made it much less stressful than if it happened in town,  although a lot of people do speak some English.

I made hot sweet tea and took it out but Anthea had made coffee. 2 police cars there and Gérard was able to translate.

Sad night, after they took the body away, Sue went back to van to contact her family.

Very sombre evening. We decided that Tony must teach me to drive Bessie........
