Immaculate day for the Immaculate Conception public holiday.....17 days until Christmas...must be the shortest pregnancy in history...however if he was born in September as some people think...then that would work out to be right...9 months.
Drove away, after another noisy night from Belgian neighbours...short drive along the Mediterranean coast to Marbella...the Costa 's as they are known go from one high rise conglomeration into another all the way along. Passed Michael Campbell 's Golf Academy.
Several camps along the road on our short drive absolutely full of motorhomes...arrived at our one....3 waiting and only 4 sites left, got one....but as it is a public holiday ACSI discount didn't apply so €23.50......everything here you could want, heated swimming pool, activities for the kids, 2 restaurants, shops, heated shower blocks.....yeahhhhh. it was 239 sites including holiday chalets. Lots of trees to shelter from the summer sun on a terraced hillside so we are up quite high and have a glimpse of the Mediterranean.
Had hot showers and washed hair....bliss....then sat in the sheltered area beside Bessie and soaked up some actual warm sunshine...said 16° but felt warmer without the breeze.
This is what they mean to be camping for months over UK winter, although lots of Spanish here as well, all fully set up, with proper bbq, awning and outdoor rooms complete with xmas decorations. Very big, but good to see how they do it on a large site.
Had to use our adaptor that we bought in France at Mitre le Ramparts to get Ehu, checked it and got 1 light earth reversed so turned the adapter up the other way and got 3 lights all good.
Orange beef, kumera chips and vege for dinner.
Late afternoon walk around the huge camp and down to the beach, with Bob and Joyce who showed us where to go and we kept walking together. They told us there was a camp xmas market on tonight.
Watched the sunset between Gibraltar and Morocco but photo not very good.
After dinner we walked to the xmas market, had a mulled wine €1 and a churros in a waffle shape with chocolate and cream €1, got a free chocolate each.
Walking back saw the huge winebego covered in xmas lights with xmas tree and a santa....some amazing rigs here that come for months at a time.
