Sat 9 Dec 17° Marbella - San Diego, Playa Cala Sardina, near Gibraltar

Warm morning, went to the heated pool Tony had a swim, on the way back passed the outdoor gym exercise area, got fresh bread at the shop, there is certainly something for everyone at this camp and can understand why people come for months at a time.

Very tight getting out of the pitch and the one way road are very narrow through the camp, goodness knows how those huge winebego and 5 wheelers got in.

Safely out, onto lovely coast road, very good surface and pleasant drive to Estapona saw diesel at a bargain  €1.09 filled up took €56 52ltrs, no lpg.

Short drive further on came to our free wildcamp...fabulous huge beach, upper car park look very exposed with only one camper van, several motorhomes,  campers and caravans down on lower level in front of the beach. Drove down found a spot of grass under the hill for shelter.  This spot is just 16 miles from Gibraltar great place, no services but a beach bar for summer now closed.

Walked along the beach saw the rock and sat in the sheltered of the beach bar in the sun, lovely....very windy though out of the shelter, few people fishing off the beach.

Back to Bessie and we could see the sand being whipped up by the wind, couple of the vans had to move or left and we were getting rocked about.

Then the wind died away and it was warm and calm.

Had cold chicken, mashed kumera and broccoli with gravy for dinner and watched a movie.
