Confusion at the toll road, asked at tourist information about our paid toll card, she confirmed it was for this road, €5 to Faro so all good, but at the barriers it wanted us to pay and the man didn't know.....after much deliberating we decided not to risk it and to go on parallel free road N125. Very bumpy and pot holed......
Arrived at first option, pretty paved, tree lined narrow strip the length of the railway track, 2 other groups of motorhomes on the other side, so after lunch went for a drive to check them out, one was a dedicated motorhome park for about 10 motorhomes. The other was very nice but signs all over saying not for motorhomes...so carried on to the one near the harbour in the old city. A Mile and a half of cobbled roads through a very old, tired and dirty looking town...other parking spot good view but for short vans we were too long, so drove back...not on the cobbled roads thank goodness and decided on the dedicated moho park.
