Sat 2 Dec 12° Vilamoura - El Rocio, Spain

Put the washing out to finish off in the cool sun, life goes on as normal, except for Sue and all the other people around the world who have lost family and friends overnight.

We went over to say goodbye to Sue, she said she was a very independent person, Graham had left very paperwork, so she was copying it, lots to do, she couldn't drive the motorhome so would sell it, she said not important in the scheme of things,  she was greatful that had started their dream early and not wait till he retired, or it would have been too late, at least they got since July...insurance only for 90 days so that has expired, but again she said not about the money..

Farewelled everyone, went to pay...extra €21 for Ehu....my fault,  put heating on electric, it was in the camp notes that allowance was 4kw per day, extra would be charged at €2 per kW....so not like other places where Ehu is unlimited....lesson learnt.

Drove to Manta Rotorua,  recommended by Mo and Ken...new roads out and sat nav got lost...again...round and round,  followed the signs...went through centre of town at Loxley,  humps and roundabouts. Into the Aire, barrier arms down, nose to tail motorhomes full, no room to move.....drove on into Spain,  clocks forward one hour.

Miles if orange trees, good roads, some patches bit rough but pretty good. Into Parquet Natural dos Donana. Arrived at  free wild camp as recommended by Mo and Ken but only one there in massive open shady field, felt too exposed so decided to go into ACSI site round the corner €17 all inclusive....including unlimited Ehu haha.

Walked into the town about 15mins all on sand roads, cars driving down the middle till another comes then gets into right side, very wide roads, not many cars but funny to watch them swerving from middle to side when approaching another car.

Very unique place, lovely lake and with all the sand could be at a beach instead of inland in middle of national park. Came across a group of Spanish singers, very good, love Spanish music, especially flaminco guitar.

Then there was a late wedding gift coming out of the church...she must have been frozen, very romantic sunset but Temps down to 6°
Bit of a market around the sandy town square, hot chestnuts and churros...Long deep fried donuts.

Back to Bessie, chat to Pat, they leave the house on 12th to clean it all before handover on 15th.

Salmon, vege and couscus for dinner...yum.
