Just a note of thanks to you all for following our travels and keeping in touch while we have been away, it has made a big difference to our trip, so close, yet so far away 🙄

Went into Ourique at 7pm parked at bus station and sat in cafe opposite having a coffee to wait for the bus bringing Jenna and Alex from Lisbon airport.
Jenna messaged to say there were road works and as they were the only 2 on the bus the driver offered to drop them near the house. We said it was too rural no actual address so come to the bus station as we were already here.
Then she messaged to say where were we, they had been dropped off at the bus stop in the main square. Then she sent me a Google map with a pin showing where they were, just around the corner 6min walk....started walking, then decided to get the car and drive as up the hill. Found them waiting in the square.....lovely welcome, great to see them, bit of a mix up with the bus......then heard .......who goes there.......turned around and it was Elliot and Emma......biggest and best surprise ever.....they were never going to Melbourne...it was just a ruse......well done to them all, how amazing that they were able to keep the secret at all let alone for so long. So there never was a bus, Elliot and Emma flew into Lisbon 2 days earlier, hired a car and met Jenna and Alex when they flew in and drove to Ourique.....but Google took them to the square not where we were waiting haha.
Poor Jenna has a chest cold so not feeling the best, she has meds so hope she will get better soon.
So after the shock we all drove to the house sit and had celebration bubbles and dinner, they had all been to Lidl and bought extra supplies of food and drinks.
So a great evening catching up and recovering from the surprise.
