Wed 13 Dec 9° La Linea due la Conception La Palma del Condado

Another lovely sunny day, but fresh outside Bessie. Tony's knee and my hips sore after all the walking yesterday, decided on a short 2 hour drive to Jerez.

Got LPG .66c 20ltrs €13.40 at Los Barrios  services, the massive winebego towing his car was there and 2 other arrived to fill up on lpg.

Very green here lots of trees as we climb into the hillside and through several short tunnels. Past miles of freshly ploughed fields ready for planting.

Into Jerez as we clicked over 16,000 miles.

We arrived 1.45 and the large car park that was the stop over was full of cars, parents picking up their children from the school on the other side. There were 3 motorhomes in there so decided to have lunch and wait for the cars to go then drive over. A man came running up saying to park in the car park €5 then indicated to feed his children....a beggar...he kept on pestering us, gave him 3 oranges....but he wouldn't leave us alone. Finished lunch then drove over with him running in  front trying to show us a park, drove up to the other motorhomes and they just waved us away to the end of the car park...not very friendly and obviously didn't want us there. Beggar kept pestering us and he gave us our orages back haha... we decided to leave.

Very bumpy roads with repaired pot holes, more ploughed fields, grapevines....maybe for Sherry....and fields of solar panels.

Arrived at our stop for tonight, little town of La Palma del Condado a Spanish Restaurant car park. Bodagon El Chocaito.

Opened at 7pm for 8pm dinner....very little English, but friendly family run restaurant,  huge inside, had a large log fire burning to try to warm the large space up. We sat near the fire.....only ones eating in  here, couple of guys at the bar. Saw a large poster with sea food on . ...didn't get that....no menue del dia or tourist menue.....asked for  fish and got a very tasty flat fish with chopped cabbage salad and cherry tomatoes  €13.50 each. TV was showing the football Real Madrid...so Tony was happy..haha.
