Rang Rob re satalite dome, it has arrived but he has urgent job on, will ring later when it's done and he can fit it this afternoon. Waiting, waiting good for our patience.
Had lunch, got Bessie ready to just drive off when we get the call. Waiting, waiting......have another cuppa tea......then the rain came......then it stopped and still we wait.
Pat had viewers this morning and they want to come back for a 2nd look.....!
4.15 got the call from Rob....farewelled Ena and off we went, arrived 5pm.....all done £150 all up....big relief, very good, While he was fitting it, he said he went to Cornwall in a motorhome, very, very narrow streets with lots of over hanging trees....he said it was very stressful driving and his wife had to get out and guide him some of the streets so narrow. Be careful of the low lying granite....very bad for the motorhome....easy to get damaged. Humm mm do we really want a stressful trip to Cornwall....have to be very vigilant and keep to main roads...he said the coast roads are the worst...one lane only and quite winding . Oh well better to be forewarned.
Left there at 6pm just as another motorhome arrived...very busy.
Arrived Rutland Water 7.15pm, met by a very nice man paid £8 he showed us where to park on the top field, saying it was the dedicated rally area had to show our camping and caravan club card. We didn't think to say we weren't in a rally, but it was fine where we were.
Walked to the lake and around the camp, it was massive, it was interesting to see the different camp set ups, some with tents, little fences some with carpet type rugs outside or huge long poles with either lights or kite type colourful attachments on top. Pat thought probably to do with the rally. TV working again too.
Salad for dinner.
