Sat 1st July 16° Rosslare

Hopeful as we head over to Tides Gastro Bar for the 2nd rugby test this morning....
wow it's full! Standing room only, Tony managed to find 2 stools for us,  but couldn't get breakfast as no tables free.....got a free coffee and tea though.  Locals very welcoming and friendly, very vocal with huge roars as the Lions scored their trys. Very dissapointing move by Sonny Bill...would not want to be in  his shoes. Silly boy had a massive brain fag , red card ...buggar. Met another All Black's supporter English couple who lived in Cambridge NZ for 2 years now in Cambridge England gave us their email if we get there they would be happy to show us around. Very nice.

We bought bacon, mushrooms and fresh bread from the only shop, and Tony cooked brunch. We then gave Bessie a clean out carpets swept etc...still felt a bit down after the rugby, so went for half hour walk to the golf club, it has a driving range.  Again very friendly and welcoming,  lent Tony some clubs and for €4 he got 60 balls to thrash.

They probably felt sorry for us haha.  Tony said it felt good to hit a club again after 7 months and after half an hour walk back, we were both feeling a lot better. The guy in the pro shop said to Tony well how do think we've  felt all these years of loosing...puts it into perspective nicely...we are still the world championships after all.

Had a refreshing ale and a local came over admiring Bessie, they have a motorhome and was interested in our trip and gave us places to see on our Irish tour , very helpful.

Chicken and veg stir fry for dinner before going back to Tides for a real  Irish Guinness and entertainment from an Elvis impersonator.
