Rugby this morning, 3rd and final test, would we be Squawking with celebration......?.........A draw ! Not a win but not a loss. First drawn series since 1955.
Cloudy day as we head onto Galway for a look around the city, checked the tyres and the sun came out 16° at the docks car park €2 per hour and €4 from 7pm to 8am.
Wow the city was a buzz, packed with visitors from all over a perfect sunny day to be visiting.
Walked over the fishing bridge where fly fishermen we wading in trying their luck with large trout swimming in the river. To the Cathedral only 52 years old, very modern but in the Renaissance style
Into the happening Williams St and Quay Street, buskers, children doing Irish dancing others playing a variety of instruments. Then a large crowd gathered around a singer Jamie Harrison who was giving a demo of his sound box, that recorded as he went, very clever and was getting a lot of coins in his guitar case, a great showman and crowd pleaser.
Back to Bessie for dinner and into town again in the evening.
Cooled off a lot now in temperature but not in the crowds, it was still buzzing, absolutely packed, hen parties, stag groups, foreign tourists, the bars were so packed people were filling the walkway, thank goodness it is a pedestrian only area and no cars allowed. We walked around enjoying the street performers, musicians and Jamie Harrison still there going through his routine.....he was good though and his guitar case was still full of coins...he was doing very well....
Big black clouds overhead and the temperature seemed to go down very quickly so back to Bessie for a warming Jameson a great city full of life and fun entertainment.
