Sat 22 July 14° Southport

The day dawned dry, we googled, searched and rang the Golf Club to see if they were having a Twilight session today, but got nowhere so decided to drive to Lidl via the Golf to see if we could get anymore information. On the way had to stop at  railway crossing, this train drove through.

Got our supplies but no information,  so drove back to The Sands and as it had turned into a lovely sunny day, Tony decided to walk back and hope they were doing a twilight or at least hoped they wouldn't turn his £25 away .

Message from Tony to say he had got in, there was no Twilight and wanted to charge him £70 he was just walking away when an Irish guy came out waving a ticket , one of his mates hadn't turned up and gave it to Tony.....no charge. Tony thought he would be back about 8.30pm, great day for it , temp got up to 19°  . Well 8.30 came and went and then 9.30 I saw him walking across the car park. No taxi's.....he got chatting to a  group of Scots guys and ended up walking along way in the wrong direction....golf finished 7.45 so that was a long walk. We went in to pub for a Guinness but very run down, the girl behind the bar must have worked for the old owner as she said £5 for an overnight pass....even better, and there was a sign on the door saying drinks and food  would come off the price of the car park.

So another win.
