Sat Nav slow to wake up, so we navigated our way out of the city with signs and Google maps, onto Ross common and Lanesborough. Much better roads now and a bit wider too so not having to drive on cats eyes. Then rough and bumpy again....does your head in as well as the bones and poor Bessie having everything shaken about. We estimate 70/30 bad/good roads that's being generous.
Just clicked over 10,000 miles as we come into Ross common then we found Sarah and Gerry 's house. They took us on a drive around the area and to lunch in the old Abbey hotel, felt quite under dressed looking at the grand building, but anything goes these days so enjoyed a roast of the day and salad sandwiches or baguette, very generous serving for €7.50 each washed down with a pint of Guinness.....well it would be rude not to.....heehee.
Then we met Gerry's brother in law Darren at a pub to watch the final of Gaelic football between the local Ross common and Galway. Very good game, a fast mix of soccer, league and handball. Ross common won.
Darren the drove us out to dinner, very nice restaurant good tasty food, good company and a great catch up with them on Gerry's home soil.
